1) as a preventive measure (without evidence of infection): immediately after a tick bite, and the recommended duration of use is approximately 1 month.   2) for acute - recent exposure (with proven infection): the recommended duration of use is approximately 3-6 months after completion of the initial antibiotic treatment.      3) in the chronic phase: the recommended duration of use is until the complete disappearance of symptoms, plus an additional 3 months beyond that. On average, this is approximately 12 months. For some, it is less; for others, it is more. It is based on the individual. Please have patience. The first slight improvement usually comes after approximately 3 months of use. If there is not slight improvement after this period, please contact a specialist to create an individual treatment plan.

The recommended dosage is 1 capsule of each product INFLAM, IMUN and INFEX - 3 times a day before meals + 1 capsule of DUOTOX - 2 times a day after meals. You should always start with only one product and add another one after approximately a week (in the case of good tolerance). You should also start with lower doses for each product than indicated on the label and gradually (according to your response) increase the doses. In the case of long-term (several months) use of the BORELISET plan, we recommend rotating its individual products. This means taking each product for about 3 weeks and then taking a 1-week break. The BORELISET plan is primarily provided in capsule form to suit clients who are sensitive to alcohol or the bitter taste of the formulation. However, if alcohol or bitter taste is not a problem for you, we recommend substituting the capsule form of INFLAM, IMUN and INFEX for the extra strength 1:1 tincture formulas. The alcohol tincture form has better absorption and, therefore, higher potency by nature. Our tincture and encapsulated products are fully interchangeable and can be combined.

When taking herbs, it is critical to distinguish a Herxheimer reaction from an allergy.     A Herxheimer reaction is caused by toxins produced by the break down of pathogens during antimicrobial treatment. Compared to an allergic reaction, it typically occurs a little later - within 24-72 hours of ingestion - and lasts approximately one week. The usual manifestation is a worsening of existing symptoms and flu-like symptoms such as fatigue, headache, body aches, muscle and joint pain, fever and chills, rigors, hyperventilation, brain fog, skin irritation, the reappearance of rashes, mood changes and increased irritability. This is a common and expected occurrence with no need to discontinue use. In this case, it is sufficient to reduce doses slightly and support detoxification processes.   An allergic reaction is an immune response to the presence of allergens. Compared to a Herxheimer reaction, it usually occurs earlier - minutes to hours after the start of use. Typical symptoms are primarily new and may include nausea, diarrhea, upset stomach, runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, swollen airways, difficulty breathing, tingling in the mouth, itchy throat, etc. This is a rare but unwanted phenomenon where discontinuation is necessary.    For the above reasons, it is essential to first test the tolerability and usefulness of specific products. Always start with small doses and gradually add up to the tolerance.

Herbs are generally well tolerated. However, as with any other drug, undesirable interactions can occur under certain conditions.      INFLAM: May interact with drugs used to lower blood pressure, thin blood, lower blood sugar, some antibiotics, and medications for cancer treatment.      IMUN: Should not be taken alongside drugs for immune suppression, lowering blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmia, hyperthyroidism, or blood thinners. It should not be taken if you are planning to conceive in the near future. IMUN can increase the bioavailability of diabetic drugs and antibiotics ending in - mycin.      INFEX: Should not be taken in cases of active gallbladder disease and inflammatory skin diseases or if you are planning to conceive in the near future. If you are currently taking medication for diabetes, consult a physician before consumption.

Although each product in the BORELISET plan has its synergistic (working together) importance, it is unnecessary to follow it at all costs. If you feel that a product is not doing you any good, simply skip it.

Long-term use of herbal extracts can "dry out" the digestive tract lining. Therefore, we recommend taking them with a little plant-based (e.g., coconut or almond) milk for precautionary reasons.   Drinking clean water is also important. However, do not drink large amounts at once, but small amounts and regularly throughout the day (approx. 1 dcl every 15 minutes). This way, the water better reaches the cells, where it has beneficial nourishing and detoxifying effects.
